Web Site Practices & Policies

    Wide spread visibility and use of the site requires that certain practices and policies be established that ensure that the high spiritual and ethical standards of St. John’s are upheld and that the web site serves as the desired and timely service to and voice of the congregation.

Policy on Privacy
There are two basic types of privacy that must have protection from internet harassment or attacks.

  • Individual
  • Organizational

St. John's Web site does not automatically collect personal information from visitors to its Web-site. St. John's may use cookies to enhance our users’ online session by making navigation easier.  

Cookies cannot be used to capture your e-mail address, obtain data from your hard drive or gain confidential or sensitive information about you. Additionally, cookies cannot be read by a Web-site other than the one that set the cookie. St. John's is committed to treating and using personal information responsibly. These Privacy Principles explain what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect information These principles are effective immediately and may be amended from time to time.

  • Browsing Our Web Site
    As one browses The St. John's Web site, one does so anonymously. We don't collect personal information including your email address unless it is explicitly provided. The web server where the site is stored does not collect information about your visit

  •  Contact Information (such as name, address, and telephone number). We use contact information to identify you for use in E-mail lists. Contact Information is not shared.
  • Association of Information
    Web Pages will be designed to prevent the association of personal information. Names, telephone numbers, addresses, individual E-mail Information will not be used in a way that they can be linked together. Any such needed linkage must be specifically approved by the individual.

Organizational Privacy is set of policies that safeguard the information and operational procedures that are used in normal discharge of the
